Position Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting principles and standards.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis on variances.
Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular audits of financial data and reports to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Maintain and update accounting software and systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes.
Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices to enhance processes and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
